When can you take the motorcycle practical exam?
You may take the motorcycle practical exam as soon as you meet the CBR’s age and category requirements. Which category you can take depends on your age:
- Starting at age 18, you can take the practical exam on a light motorcycle (A1). This consists of the vehicle control exam and the road use exam.
- Starting at age 20, you can take the test for a medium-weight motorcycle (A2).
- Starting at age 21, you can take the practical exam for a full motorcycle license (A) on a heavy motorcycle.
