When do you need a BE driver's license?
A BE driver’s license is required when you drive a car with a trailer whose combined total weight exceeds 3,500 kg. With a BE driver’s license, you may tow a trailer or semi-trailer with a maximum combined weight of 3,500 kg (unloaded weight and payload). In some situations, this is even permitted for combinations exceeding 3,500 kg, provided you meet the applicable requirements.
